Swellex, Silicone Swelling Fluid, 100mL bottle Connect tubing to rigid parts in no time. Swellex swelling agent utilize proprietary solvent technology to effectively swell moulded thermoelastomer materials. This swelling agent is absorbed into the component to expand it to a desired dimension, allowing it to interconnect easily. The swelling agent then evaporates, returning the parts to its original size, which creates a secure connection without adhesives. Key benefits of Swellex® products: * Superior solution for connecting silicone & polyurethane tubing to barbed fittings * Quick evaporation, returning parts to original dimension * Excellent materials compatibility * Dries residue-free without impacting components properties such as tear strength, compression or colour * Hostile to pyrogenic growth * US EPA-designated Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) exempt Swellex swelling agent is the brand name for a family of proprietary fluids used as a swelling media for moulded thermopolymer components such as silicone rubber and polyurethane. Swellex swelling agent expands the treated part to a desired dimension, allowing for easy assembly to a fitting or a rigid part with complex geometry. The swelling agent then quickly evaporates returning the part to its original size without impacting physical properties such as colour, tear strength or elasticity. The treated component maintains a secure connection without adhesives, lubricants or mechanically altering physical properties. In general, all Swellex swelling agents have excellent materials compatibility and are hostile to pyrogenic growth. Available Formulas Swellex silicone swelling agent: Use on silicone rubber components such as tubing or more complex moulded parts. Available in stock.
