The encapsulant permits easy cable splice re-entry for future changes and maintenance.
The resin is formulated for virtually every electrical application requiring a reliable, soft, re-enterable resin with good handling and performance characteristics. Main applications include encapsulating, sealing, potting and shock damping.
Available in the individual 3M™ 8882 Electrical Re-Enterable Resin bags, 3M™ 2123 Electrical Re-Enterable Resin bags or purchased seperately via the 3M™ Scotchcast™ Easy 250 Dispenser.
The resin flows well at low temperatures, filling the closure and minimising air voids. Operating temperature is 90°C continous and emergency operating temperature is up to 130°C
