to keep this seal in good condition otherwise vacuum performance will decrease.
when removing a tip, you should feel some resistance when turning the tip, this
indicates the condition of the seal, if the seal is in need of replacement then there
will be little resistance because the seal has turned stiff and brittle.
For the best results make sure the seal is always soft.
